Winner - Lost Cartridge Jam 2021

My game "Froggy Quest" was selected by a panel of judges as the first place winner of the 2021 Lost Cartridge Jam, a 72-hour game jam centered around creating a "Lost Cartridge Game" - a game that's been both designed and stylized to look and feel like a vintage game. I worked solo on Froggy Quest, creating and designing all of the game's assets in the 72-hour window, using the GameBoy's aesthetics and technical limitations as my guide. Ultimately, I was honored to be selected as the winner out of 107+ games entered in the jam, earning a perfect score in the three main judging categories - Design, Aesthetics, and Believability.

Winner - GameMaker's NoticeMe Game Jam 2022 - "Most Challenging Minigames"

I participated solo in GameMaker's #NoticeMe Game Jam in 2022, a 2-week-long game jam where the winners get their games shipped in physical arcade cabinets around the world. In addition to the main winners, GameMaker offered two "extra credit" categories - one of which was for the "most challenging minigames." I went into the jam with this category in mind and ended up making "Pogopocalypse" - a challenging endless minigame about bouncing upwards on a pogo stick during various apocalyptic events (the theme of the game jam was "Then The Night Changed Everything"). With 312 entries in total, I was delighted to be 1 of the 4 games selected as winners in the "most challenging minigames" category, and one of 16 "winners" overall. Additionally, "Pogopocalypse" was selected by staff members at gx.games - GameMaker/Opera GX's official browser games website - as the final game of their 2022 March Challenge of the Month - an event where gamers compete to earn high scores on selected games and win prizes.
